For Anyone Who Wants to Know

This is my face.
At work.
No make-up.
Yes, Accutane is worth it.
Two more months and this will be me every day.

What Is This Shit, NYC?

I'm escaping to a tropical island.
Peace out.

This is Halloween

So here's a breakdown of my Halloween--the first Halloween that I didn't go to the (overcrowded and underwhelming) parade...at least, the first Halloween since I moved to New York.

On Friday, I was Ginger Spice. The $3 British flag dress I found at Unique has certainly served its purpose now that I've worn it in public twice. There's no photographic evidence, but I just wore my dress, puffed my hair a little, and did an insane cat eye/glitter combo. A couple people asked me if I was simply displaying my British pride or if I was dressed up, so maybe the next time I decide to be a British pop star from the 90s, I need to dye my hair red. Been there, done that. Maybe I just need a bigger wig collection (read: maybe I should start a wig collection)

Last night, I decided to go the lazy route and let my out-of-control hair do the talking. I went as a hipster (lazy) mermaid! Melissa and I put our wardrobes together and I went out in a nude body suit and green pants. I had seashells taped on my but one fell off and broke...and who's heard of a mermaid with a uniboob? A lot of people still guessed what I was, so I suppose I did a good enough job.

This is me with my friend Julie; she was a bedbug/ladybug! She's either New York's worst nightmare or my favorite little bug with wings.

Here is a closeup of my makeup (it's blue on top and green underneath, with glitter in the middle!):

I've really, really developed a glitter problem. It's so addicting. I woke up this morning with glitter everywhere. Seriously, I don't know how it traveled all over my room but it did. None of the things it's on touched my face. And it's hard to get rid of! Once glittered, always glittered.

Dearest readers, do you think I can get away with wearing glitter during the day? It's an eyeliner gel pen and I may or may not already carry it around with me. Maybe I should get a less intense one? Or own up to my addiction and let the whole world know?

I Used To Have A Heart Worth A Billion Bucks

I guess it's only fair that faking it leads to breaking it, not making it. I deserve this.

Seek The Light // My Knees Are Cold

It's so cold out that not only did I bust out my sweatpants and fuzzy socks and take the screen out of my window, I've now resorted to studying snuggled up under my covers. It makes me a little bit more sleepy instead of productive, but at least my toes aren't frozen.
