RIP Brittany Murphy
Tai: I'll be 16 in May.
Cher: My birthday is in April and as someone older, can I please give you some advice? It is one thing to spark up a doobie and get laced at parties, but it is quite another to be fried all day.
Get it? It's ironic cause it's suspected she died of drug overdose.
Sorry, that was way harsh. Rest in peace, pretty lady.

Buffy: Season Six Finale

Literally one of the most amazing things I have ever watched.
The whole last disk left me breathless. Incredible.

Xander: I'm not joking. I know you're in pain. I can't imagine the pain you're in. I know you're about to do something apocalyptically evil and stupid and hey, still want to hang. You're Willow.
Willow: Don't call me th-
Xander: First day of kindergarten you cried 'cause you broke the yellow crayon and you were too afraid to tell anyone. You've come pretty far, ending the world, not a terrific notion but the thing is, yeah. I love you. I loved crayon-breaky Willow and I love scary veiny Willow. So if I'm going out, it's here. You wanna kill the world, you start with me. I've earned that.

Makin Changes...and Allowin Comments
So, while I really love(d) my Tumblr account--it certainly served me well while I was abroad--there are some things I wish it would do: allow comments, let me format my posts, allow comments...you know, basic stuff. Apparently there are lots of over-ride codes that you can add in to your Tumblr to get a comments section, but it would never work for me! So, enough frustration, and maybe time for a change. Blogger kind of comes with my Google account, so why not? We'll see how this goes!
It's reading day here at the lovely NYU, so campus is less full of students but definitely abuzz with stress. The coffees look bigger, the amount of sleep is smaller, and the bus was in
sanely full at 9:35 this morning. I can't imagine studying in Bobst; that place is so stressful and scary. Instead, I'm at work, trying to work in the library but waiting on some more plaque labels. Last week I finished the first wall! It was really exciting, but only a minor accomplishment. The other wall of books is much bigger, and I'm only on letter I. I almost wish that I could just go into the library and not emerge until I finish it...it would probably get done faster and would only take a day or two. Also I would probably fall off the step stool less frequently if I wasn't rushing like crazy.Friday is the beautiful day that I'll be going back to Scotch Plains--if luck serves us well, I'll be on the same train as Nora. No delays like last time, please! I'm excited for everyone to be back in the same place and (mostly) stress free. It's gonna be a month full of being lazy and eating delicious real people food and snuggling everyone I adore. Also, everyone from NYU will finally be returning to the states!! I know they've had amazing experiences abroad, but it's time for them to come home! Hopefully (more for me than for them) they'll be living in ChiTow with me and we can have slumber parties and gossip and eat Chipotle. YUM.
Well, it's time for me to return to the library (the German department library, oh no not Bobst!) and work on my librarian skills. So if all else fails, I certainly could settle into the librarian life. All I need is a chain for my glasses and a few more prairie skirts.
